Rock Climber

We were at Lifetime Fitness this weekend and saw that the rock wall was open. Well, Jackson was all over it. This is his 3rd time to do this and he loves it.
He was hesitant to go all the way up and he kept looking down about 3/4 of the way up, so Jason told him that we could go to Sonic if he climbed all the way to the top.
Well, that did it and from then on, he climbed almost all the walls that he could.
Drew was too young to climb, but he climbed on the lowest rocks and was pretty proud of himself. Cherry limeades.....here we come!!

Chocolate River

A few Christmases ago, my in-laws gave us a chocolate fountain. It has turned out to be one of the best presents ever!! We pulled it out this weekend when we had some friends over and it was a hit!
The kids always want to dip weird things in it like pizza. They think that's the best!

As you can see, it is very messy!!! Jason was ready with the wet paper towels......Drew is the worst! You can't go wrong with the chocolate fountain..everyone loves it!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

We spent Mother's Day above Las Colinas! We ate brunch at a restaurant with 3 other couples and 9 kids! Luckily, one of the husbands is the general manager and he got us a private room. It was nice as the kids could run around crazy after they ate--and they did!!
Here are some of their buddies.
Afterwards, we went down to see the mustang sculpture. Jackson using all his might to try to push this horse in. Believe it or not, we had to tell him to stop because it started wobbling!
The boys and me :)
The boys were fascinated by the water and the fountains. Here is Drew and a friend taking a breather. We had a great mother's day and it was so fun to be able to spend it with friends!

This and That.......

A few weeks ago, we met my cousin and his wife and their new baby (4mos.) at The Great Wolf Lodge for dinner. The boys loved playing with him and Jackson especially took to him. He wanted to hold him and feed him...so cute.
Check out the this baby as a hat on Jackson's head!! He thought that was hilarious!
Jackson had field day last Friday....remember those? He loved it. I was out of town, but Jason went up there with Drew and watched and apparently, he was really into it. I'm not surprised. I used to think he didn't have a competitive bone in his body, but it is starting to emerge.
Another thing about Jackson is that he typically is a rule follower. So, when some kids are running with their tennis ball on the spoon and it drops, they may keep running with it in their hands. Jackson will stop, pick it up, and go back to the place where he started from. What an great character trait to have.
We are proud of him!
