Video Games and Vomit......

Video Games and Vomit. That's what our weekend consisted of. It was Drew and Brooke's birthdays, so we had big celebrations planned. We pulled off one and not the other....

Drew's party was awesome. This is the inside of a trailer that is loaded with 4 flat screens and any video game you could want (within reason:) )

The boys went in this truck and were in video game heaven! Now, Jason and I don't love our kids playing video games and we have rules for when they play during the week/weekend, but it was Drew's birthday, so we indulged him!

Our big 7 year old. Drew has the sweetest heart and a loving, outgoing, personality. He loves life. You can just watch him and see how much joy he finds in the small things. He will talk your ear off and has all sorts of ideas that just blow your mind. We love him so much!

Blowing out his candles.......he just wanted a cookie cake this year. Easy to please :)

So, we pulled the boys away and had them in the garage to eat cake and ice cream. I figured they were boys, so they could eat on the floor....I know girls would never go for that. It was a beautiful day too.

After cake, we had a silly string war.....16 boys going full force.

Drew tangled up in the silly string. I was so thankful my parents and mother in law swept up the driveway with all that string on it.

Now....presents!!! Drew still LOVES legos! That's all he asked for. He got 2 big Christmas sets that he is working on intesnsely because I mentioned that we could use them as a Christmas decoration....he's determined to display them.

Now.....poor Brooke....we had to cancel her party. She was so sick. This is where the vomit comes in. Her cake was made, the table was decorated, party favors were ready, but she was not. So sad......although she doesn't know what she missed! Her Grandma, Nana, and Papa were here, so she was as happy as she could be.

In her pj's, she's the only guest at her party :( She couldn't even eat any of her cake that Nana made.

All in all, the weekend was good. Drew had a blast and this is where you can find him for the next month. He sets up shop on the dining room table and gets every plastic bowl out and goes from there. He's making progress and I will post his masterpiece sooner than later I hope!
