We had a visitor come to town after school was out! Cousin Alyssa!! We were so excited to have her here for a week! She was brought her American Girl paraphanelia and began the delightful brainwashing of Brooke.....I must have American Girl doll, I must have American Girl doll.......here they are, checking out the catalogs. Brooke just adored Alyssa and followed her everywhere and tried to do things just like her.
We also made the rounds to all our friends pools! What else do you do on a 105 degree day? Here are the three muskateers..

New day, new suit, new pool........more fun!
CHEERS to cousins!!! I told the kids that I was getting a taste of what it would be like to have 4 kids. If Alyssa was my oldest, then I would LOVE it!! It would be a breeze! She was such a help to me and the kids loved her.
You guessed it....we HAD to go to the American Girl store. Alyssa came down ready to go wearing cute Cowboy boots. So Brooke had to find her fur lined Uggs....I'm sure her feet were sweating, but whatever Alyssa did, she did. The girls brought their dolls ready to go to the cafe'!
The boys got in on the action too! They groaned and complained, but I think they secretly loved it. This world is new to them and they're kind of fascinated. I've heard them talking about the store several times.

After lunch, we got to do a craft. Brooke needed to rest from all the excitement I guess!
Here's the gang in front of the store. My parents were visiting also so they got to enjoy the fun! It was such a blessing to have Alyssa here and I can't wait for her to come next summer! She is such a kind hearted and thoughtful young woman. We love you Alyssa!!
